Welcome to Coastal Pro Divers. Your trusted, Mississippi Gulf Coast dive shop. Founded by retired U.S. Marine and PADI IDC Staff Instructor, Jay Frazier, we we provide premier scuba diving services across the Mississippi Gulf Coast and I-10 corridor. We train recreational scuba divers and offer courses from entry-level to professional. We use the PADI System of diver education to ensure clients receive the highest quality of professional training in the safest of environments.
Our mission is simple: to transform beginners into confident, certified divers through a perfect balance of disciplined safety and an upbeat, supportive learning environment. As a scuba instructor, I can attest that scuba diving changes how you see the world, and we are here to guide you from your very first breaths underwater all the way to professional-level career certifications.
Meet Your Instructor
My diving journey began in 2015 while stationed in Okinawa, Japan, where I fell in love with the underwater world. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I transitioned a career’s worth of experience in leadership, structure, and mission-focused instruction into full-time dive education, earning my Open Water Scuba Instructor rating in 2022.
Now, as an IDC Staff Instructor, I don’t just teach divers—I train the next generation of dive professionals. While I love teaching high-adrenaline skills like wreck diving and underwater navigation, my true passion is introducing families, youth groups, and beginners to the sport. Whether we are building team camaraderie or helping an individual conquer a personal goal, I ensure every student leaves the water with a smile and a profound sense of accomplishment.

In diving, your equipment is your life support system. Drawing from a military background where gear readiness is mission-critical, Coastal Pro Divers provides meticulous, high-standard equipment servicing and regulatory inspections.
Whether you are a recreational diver keeping your personal kit pristine, a Yacht Club member ensuring onboard safety gear is functional, or an organization managing a fleet of gear, we deliver precise, reliable maintenance. We treat every regulator, BCD, and cylinder as if our own family were diving on it.
Healing Beneath the Surface: Adaptive Diving
As a veteran, I know firsthand that the battle doesn’t always end when you come home. Physical injuries, chronic pain, and PTSD can make everyday life on land feel heavy. Underwater, everything changes. The weightlessness of scuba diving relieves physical joint pressure, while the rhythmic, meditative environment slows the mind, reduces anxiety, and promotes true healing.
I am certified in PADI Adaptive Techniques, allowing us to modify training methods and gear configurations to accommodate physical, visual, and cognitive limitations. We focus strictly on what you can do. Whether you are a civilian living with a disability or a disabled veteran looking to regain freedom of movement, we provide a safe, dignified, and highly supportive space to experience the freedom of the ocean.
Coastal Pro Divers proudly seeks to collaborate with regional clinics and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Recreational Therapy programs to make adaptive scuba an accessible pathway for rehabilitation, recovery, and community reintegration.

Getting certified is just the first step—the real magic happens when you put your certification to use. Coastal Pro Divers hosts curated, adventurous dive trips designed for divers of all experience levels. From weekend local getaways to bucket-list international expeditions, we handle all the logistics so you can focus on the adventure.
Our trips offer the perfect high-adventure platform for Scouting high-adventure contingents, university outdoor rec clubs, and military MWR groups looking for safe, professionally guided group travel. Come cross boundaries, explore vibrant reefs, and build lifelong bonds with a community of passionate adventurers.
Where We Train
Based out of Pass Christian, MS, we proudly serve communities from Gulfport and Biloxi west to Slidell, LA, and along the I-10 corridor.
Because we want you to have the absolute best visibility and conditions for your certification, we travel to premier diving destinations for our open water checkouts. Our students dive in the crystal-clear Florida Springs, the historic wrecks of Panama City, Pensacola, and Perdido Key, and Blue Water Park near Pelham, AL.
We offer both structured group classes and highly customizable private lessons to fit your busy schedule, family needs, and personal comfort level.
Community, Service, & Conservation
Coastal Pro Divers is deeply rooted in the Gulf Coast community. We actively support our local military bases (Keesler AFB, Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, and Camp Shelby) and regional higher education institutions, including USM Long Beach, MGCCC, and Pearl River CC.
